THRISSUR: History-sheeter Arjun Ayanki yet again challenged the police with a Facebook post. Arjun Ayanki's social media post suggested that he was at the Thrissur Vadakkumnatha temple grounds. Footage of Arjun Ayanki crossing the Paliyekkara toll plaza in his car has also been released, while Arjun's brother Akhil was taken into custody by the police. Akhil was taken into custody from Vadakkumnatha temple grounds and is being interrogated by the Thrissur police. As Arjun's phone location was found in Thrissur, the police started an extensive search in the city.

Earlier, the special investigation team had taken into custody two of Ayanki's friends who had arranged a hideout for him in Kochi.

Arjun Ayanki continues to remain absconding while publicly challenging the Kerala Police and the state's Home Department. On Friday morning, he again issued a challenge through an Instagram post, daring the police to arrest him if they could.

Arjun is wanted by the police in connection with the cases of threatening Kothamangalam and Onnukal SHOs. A ten-member team led by the Muvattupuzha DySP has been assigned to arrest Arjun. Police suspect that someone else may be operating Arjun's social media accounts. Earlier, the High Court dismissed Arjun Ayanki's anticipatory bail plea in the case related to allegedly threatening Kothamangalam Inspector Prashanth Kumar.
