Moving car catches fire in Kozhikode; driver escapes unhurt

KOZHIKODE: A moving car caught fire at Pantheeramkavu in Kozhikode on Wednesday morning. The incident took place near the footpath along the service road close to the Pantheeramkavu Police Station at around 9 am. No one was injured.

The driver, Sharafudheen, was the only person inside the car when the fire broke out. He noticed smoke coming from the vehicle and immediately got out. Within moments, the fire spread through the car.

People nearby tried to put out the fire, but were unsuccessful. Two fire engines from the Meenchantha Fire and Rescue Station later reached the spot and brought the blaze under control. The car was completely gutted in the fire.
