Malayali students brutally assaulted in Mangaluru over wearing black shoes 

MANGALURU: Two Malayali students were brutally assaulted for wearing black shoes. Two first year students of Srinivas College in Mangaluru were brutally assaulted by some senior students.

The incident happened near a tea shop at Gujjarakere. The victims identified as Adarsh and Jasin Khader have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Reports say there were assaulted by senior Malayali students. Based on the complaint, the Pandeshwar Police have registered a case against six second-year students of the Logistics Department. Police visited the hospital and recorded the statements of the injured students as part of the investigation.
