THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A gang of goons in Thiruvananthapuram tried to hack a youth to death for testifying in a case. The incident took place last night in Chittattumukku. Chittattumukku native Febin (37) was seriously injured in the attack.

The same accused had attacked Febin's friend last year. Febin was an eyewitness in this case. Vinoj and Clinton, the third accused in the case at that time, attacked Febin because he had testified in court. Both are members of the gang of notorious goon Panchayat Unni.

Febin suffered injuries to his neck and head in the attack. The accused also damaged the scooter that Febin was riding on. Febin is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. Kadinamkulam police started an investigation into the case.
