NEW DELHI: Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Deepke said that he will arrive in India tomorrow to participate in the protest demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. However, he has directed CJP supporters not to come to the Delhi airport to receive him. The directive was made keeping in mind the possible congestion and security issues that may arise if the protesters reach the airport in large numbers.
‘We could not have imagined the overwhelming response we received from those demanding Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation to join us at the Delhi airport. It is not practical for such a large number of people to gather at the airport as it will cause inconvenience to the public and the security forces. So please do not come to the Delhi airport,' Deepke said. He also said that he will go to the Parliament Street police station to directly seek permission for their peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar.
'We are law-abiding citizens and have to act responsibly. So please be careful not to create any kind of disturbance,' he added.
Abhijit Deepke, who completed his post-graduate degree in journalism from Pune, moved to the US for higher education. He recently completed his post-graduate degree in public relations from Boston University. He was part of the Aam Aadmi Party's social media election campaign team from 2020 to 2023. Deepke was involved in creating meme-based digital campaigns for the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections, when the Arvind Kejriwal-led party came to power.
