Anil Pandit is mastermind behind shooting at Tiger Shroff; money transferred from abroad, instructions sent via app

MUMBAI: Haryana Police have arrested an associate of Anil Pandit, who is suspected to be the mastermind behind the firing incident targeting Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai. The arrested person, identified as Sameer, is allegedly linked to Pandit, who has connections with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

According to police, Anil Pandit, who is based in California, hired three people to attack Tiger Shroff and promised them payment. He allegedly paid an advance to one of the accused and offered Rs 35,000 to Rehan to carry out the attack. Pandit also reportedly promised to help Rehan settle abroad.

Rehan has several criminal cases against him, including those related to theft and illegal possession of weapons. The investigation revealed that all three people involved in the attack had been staying in Mumbai for nearly a month.

Pandit also allegedly recruited Hrithik Kumar because he was familiar with even the narrow lanes of the city. Police suspect that the promise of a well-paying job abroad attracted Hrithik Kumar to the group.

Police suspect that Pandit transferred money to the accused online from abroad. They also believe that the accused used an app called 'Jaggi', which allows users to communicate without revealing their personal details, to pass on instructions.

The guns were allegedly hidden near a dustbin before the attackers were informed of their location. The accused used these weapons in the firing at Tiger Shroff. Police said all those arrested were above 18 years of age and that further investigation was underway.
