'Rohit Sharma looks 10 years younger'; star cricketer stuns fans with his new look

LONDON: Former India captain Rohit Sharma is making the most of his break from international cricket with a vacation in London. While away from the game, the star batter has become the talk of social media after a recent photo with former India head coach Ravi Shastri went viral. Fans were quick to praise Rohit's new look, with many saying the 39-year-old appears nearly 10 years younger.

Rohit was last seen in action in the final ODI against England, where he smashed 138 off 110 balls. The experienced batter has also expressed his desire to play in the 2027 ODI World Cup, which will be held in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia in October and November next year.

Having retired from Test cricket and T20 Internationals, Rohit is now focused solely on the ODI format. He is currently training hard to stay fit ahead of the 2027 World Cup.

Meanwhile, former Pakistan captain Zaheer Abbas said Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli still have a lot to offer Indian cricket. He also expressed confidence that both players will feature in the upcoming ODI World Cup.

Speaking to a Pakistani television channel, Abbas praised the experienced duo.

"Both of them are exceptional players. Looking at their experience, there is no reason why they should not play in the World Cup. As long as they remain fit and continue scoring runs, age is not a problem. Their experience will be a big advantage for India in the 2027 ODI World Cup in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia. I watched Rohit's century against England. It is always a pleasure to watch him bat. He makes batting look so effortless," Abbas said.

Rohit is expected to return to action in India's ODI series against the West Indies, beginning on September 27.
