Worker injured in elephant attack in Wayanad succumbs to injuries

WAYANAD: A worker died in a wild elephant attack at Pulimoodu in Mananthavady’s Kattikkulam. The dead is Raju of Vellancheri Pulimoodu’s Unnathi. The elephant attacked him when he was working on his agricultural farm. The elephant kicked him on his left chest. Immediately, the locals along with the forest officials rushed him to Mananthavady Hospital.

His ribs were broken. He died while being shifted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital for better treatment. The elephant reached the residential area at around 5 am today. Reports say the wild elephant has been chased away from the residential area.
