THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There is a change in the warning of rain in the state. Yellow alert has been issued in seven districts today. Earlier, there was a warning in four districts. The yellow alert is in Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod. Yellow alert has been sounded in five districts- Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod tomorrow.
Isolated heavy rain is predicted. Heavy rain is defined as a situation where 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm of rain is received in 24 hours. A low-pressure area is located at an altitude of 7.6 km above sea level from the southwest part of the Bay of Bengal to the north Lakshadweep region, through north Tamil Nadu, south interior Karnataka and north Kerala. Therefore, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that there will be rain till July 21.
