NEW DELHI: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke was targeted in an ink attack at Jantar Mantar while leading a protest demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities in the NEET examination.
The incident occurred while Dipke was addressing supporters at the protest site. A woman approached him and threw blue ink on him, causing a brief commotion at the venue.
Following the incident, Dipke posted footage of the event on the social media platform X, captioning the video with, "Blue is my color, Jai Bhim." The video has since circulated widely online.
Dipke had initiated an indefinite hunger strike at the site following the hospitalisation of social activist Sonam Wangchuk, who had been supporting the ongoing demonstrations. The protesters are demanding accountability for the NEET question paper leak, which has triggered widespread national concern.
Protesters at the scene intercepted the woman immediately after the attack, and she was subsequently taken into custody by the Delhi Police. Authorities stated that the woman’s identity and the motive behind the incident remain under investigation.
