THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 16-year-old boy, earlier reported missing from Pangappara in Sreekaryam, has been found dead. The body was discovered buried, wrapped in a sack. The victim, Abhiram, was a student at Paruthippara NSS High School. Police took two teenagers into custody for alleged involvement in the ghastly crime.

Abhiram went missing yesterday afternoon. Abhiram left home saying he was heading to Pangappara. When he did not return by evening, Abhiram’s parents filed a complaint with the Sreekaryam police. Attempts to reach him by phone were unsuccessful, as his mobile was switched off. His parents informed the police that Abhiram had left home shortly after receiving a phone call.

The police are currently investigating the matter, including identifying the person who made that call.
