KOCHI: The Kerala High Court has stayed the further proceedings in the case registered against businessman Boby Chemmanur on the complaint of an actress. The court’s action is soon after the actress informed that the issues have been settled. Boby had earlier approached the court seeking quashing of the case. The court had sought the actress’ stand on this plea.
Meanwhile, Boby Chemmanur had issued a public apology to the actress. The actress accepted this apology and filed an affidavit in the court stating that the issue has been settled. Considering this, further proceedings in the case were stayed. The stay is for the trial court proceedings.
The actress had alleged that Boby Chemmanur had made derogatory remarks about her during an inaugural function. She had also alleged that Boby Chemmanur had cyber-attacked her after she decided not to attend any function related to his institutions. A complaint was filed with the police citing all these. Boby Chemmanur was then arrested and was later granted bail.
Bobby Chemmanur had shared a note on Instagram the other day apologizing for the insult caused by his words. The actress had also stated that she has accepted his apology.
