First-year MBBS student jumps to death from hostel building in Thrissur

THRISSUR: A first-year MBBS student jumped to her death from the hostel building. She has been identified as Sneha Paulose (20) of Kottayam. She jumped from the fourth floor of the hostel near the Jubilee Mission Medical College Hospital in Thrissur. Although the hostel authorities immediately took her to the hospital, her life could not be saved.

Some personal issues have been cited as the reason for her to take the extreme step. Friends said that she was found stressed for the last few days. Friends told the police that she was also sad for choosing this career. The police have started an investigation into the death.
