NEW DELHI: Only hours left for the announcement of the 72nd National Film Awards. The Malayalam film industry is eagerly waiting for the announcement with great anticipation. The Malayalam films that have reached the final rounds are Bramayugam, Manjummel Boys and Kishkindha Kaandam.

The fans are eagerly waiting to see if Mammootty will win the national film award for best actor for his stunning performance in Bramayugam. Apart from Mammootty, Vijayaraghavan, who gave an excellent performance in Kishkindha Kaandam, is also in the race for the award. The central jury, headed by renowned Malayalam director Jayaraj, considered films released in 2024. The award selection by the 11-member jury was completed yesterday.
