Car collides with tanker lorry in Kottarakkara; police officer sustains serious injuries

KOTTARAKKARA: A police officer suffered serious injuries after his car collided with a tanker lorry at Inchakkadu in Kottarakkara. The injured person has been identified as Aneesh, an officer at Pathanamthitta AR camp. Aneesh was travelling to Adoor when his car collided with a tanker lorry travelling from Ernakulam towards Thiruvananthapuram.

The car was completely destroyed in the crash. Aneesh, who was trapped inside the car, was taken out by the locals and other motorists present at the scene. He has been shifted to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College for specialised treatment due to the severity of his injuries.
