THIRUVANANTHAURAM: The Congress high command is considering the formation of a government-party coordination committee in connection with the complaint of UDF convenor Adoor Prakash. AICC general secretary in charge of Kerala, Deepa Dasmunsi, had earlier pointed that such a mechanism is needed. The chief minister's stand will also be sought.

Adoor Prakash, who had made public remarks against the government and the chief minister, directly submitted a complaint to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge yesterday. Chief Minister V D Satheesan, KPCC president Sunny Joseph, and Congress MPs from Kerala are all presently in Delhi.

Adoor Prakash had stated that the chief minister is taking decisions unilaterally without consulting the party or the UDF. He also alleged that the chief minister has been functioning in this manner since the government came to power.

Adoor Prakash expressed his displeasure by convening a press meet at the KPCC headquarters shortly after the cabinet decided to appoint Dr M K Muneer, a representative of Indian Union Muslim League, as chairman of the Administrative Reforms Commission.

Although the KPCC president had told the media that a UDF meeting would be convened soon to discuss the issue, indications are that such a meeting is unlikely to take place in the next few days. There are also reports that more leaders may approach the Congress high command in connection with Adoor Prakash's complaint.
