NEW DELHI: The Centre has accepted all the demands raised by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), bringing the protest to an end. The decision was announced after talks between the two sides at a joint press conference addressed by Union Ministers J.P. Nadda and Jitendra Singh along with CJP representatives.

As part of the settlement, the Centre said all cases registered against the protesters would be withdrawn and assured that no fresh cases would be filed in connection with the agitation.

The demands accepted by the government include compensation of one crore for the family of each student who died by suicide, the withdrawal of all FIRs against protesters and a commitment that no further criminal cases would be registered over the protest.

Announcing the end of the agitation, CJP representatives appealed to protesters to disperse peacefully.
