BENGALURU: Former India captain and star cricketer Virat Kohli is expected to continue playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) until 2030. RCB CEO Rajesh Menon said that the team expects Kohli to play at least three to four more seasons for the IPL franchise. Kohli currently plays only in the ODI format for India in international cricket. However, he continues to represent RCB in the IPL. Kohli played a key role in helping RCB win the IPL title in the last two seasons.

Rajesh Menon praised Kohli’s commitment to the team. He said that Kohli has been part of RCB since the first IPL season in 2008.

“RCB and Virat are two sides of the same coin. He has been a consistent part of RCB from the beginning. Even after he ends his cricket career, we cannot imagine RCB without him,” Rajesh Menon said.

“He will definitely be on the field for the next three or four years. At least for four more years. He is fully fit, and his hunger for success has not reduced. We saw his energy, runs and attitude in this IPL season as well. So, there is no problem for the next three to four years,” he added.

Kohli played a brilliant innings in the IPL final but later missed India’s ODI series against Afghanistan. The BCCI’s official explanation was that he was not included in the squad due to an injury.
