‘H Salam slams G Sudhakaran over Pinarayi remarks, calls him a political clown’

ALAPPUZHA: CPM leader H Salaam strongly criticized Ambalapuzha MLA G Sudhakaran accusing him of repeatedly insulting party leaders and behaving like a political clown. In a Facebook post, he said the senior leader believes that no one except him has any knowledge. He asked whether Sudhakaran was even worthy of untying the straps of Pinarayi Vijayan’s shoes.

Sudhakaran insulted Pinarayi by calling him a wet chicken and mocked former finance minister K N Balagopal by claiming he does not know how to speak properly. He added that the indifference we show despite constant abuse of the party and its leaders should not be considered as our weakness.

Salam alleged that Sudhakaran behaves as if no one else understands politics and warned him not to mistake the party’s restraint for weakness. He also claimed that Pinarayi’s generosity had helped preserve Sudhakaran’s image as an anti-corruption crusader.

The CPM leader further challenged Sudhakaran to disclose details of funds allegedly collected during the 2021 Assembly election campaign, asking from whom the money was collected and how much was raised. You should be prepared to make public the amount of money you collected that day. Does G Sudhakaran have the courage to reveal how many lakhs he collected from whom? Don’t forget that many secrets that only you and two or three people in your house know are now public.

Defending Vijayan, Salam highlighted his long political career, noting that he stepped down from a ministerial post to become party secretary and later led the (LDF to consecutive election victories. He also praised Balagopal’s record as a Member of Parliament, finance minister, and party organizer.

Salam accused Sudhakaran of making derogatory remarks about women and disrespecting local leaders and ordinary citizens during public events. He argued that elected representatives should maintain dignity in public discourse and focus on political issues rather than personal attacks.

Concluding the post, he said voters had not given him a license to insult CPM leaders and party workers. He warned that such behavior was damaging Sudhakaran’s public image and turning him into a subject of ridicule.
