NEW DELHI: Vice president C P Radhakrishnan has indirectly criticized NSS general secretary Sukumaran Nair. Nair should not think that general secretary is everything, he said while attending the inaugural function of Mannam Smrithi Mandapam in Delhi.
‘A request to all the NSS trustees in the world. Never think that you are everything. Don’t think that only the general secretary has the power in the organization. The general secretary has no right to decide whether someone should come or not. Everyone should remember the contributions of Mannath Padmanabhan,' said the Vice President. The Vice President's criticism was without mentioning Sukumaran Nair’s name.
Union Minister Suresh Gopi, who attended the function, pointed that changes have taken place after the elections and that Perunna will purify itself. He hinted that such changes are natural and that alternative systems will emerge if the leadership does not change. The Vice President was denied entry to the Mannam Samadhi in Perunna earlier. The explanation given by the NSS was that the visit was not appropriate since the elections were approaching.
