Woman killed in Thiruvananthapuram after KSRTC bus hits scooter

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A woman scooterist was killed while trying to overtake a KSRTC bus in Channankara. The victim has been identified as Rajimol (38) of Channankara. The accident happened Sunday morning.

While trying to overtake the KSRTC bus, the scooter ridden by Rajimol collided with an oncoming mini lorry and the bus, causing her to lose control and fall onto the road. The rear wheel of the bus then ran over her body. She died on the spot itself.

Following the accident, the Kadinamkulam police reached the spot and completed the inquest proceedings. The body was later shifted to the mortuary of Chirayinkeezhu Taluk Hospital.
