The Youth Congress was protesting against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the BJP, which is allegedly attempting to undermine elections in the country. Why is the CPM in Kerala disturbed when the Congress and its affiliated organisations protest against the BJP? Why is the CPM agitated when the Congress protests against the Sangh Parivar?
The violent incidents that happened in Thiruvananthapuram yesterday were with the knowledge of the CPM leadership. The CPM deliberately orchestrated the move. SFI activists deliberately provoked the situation. They threw beer bottles and stones at the Youth Congress workers.
For the past several days, Yuva Morcha and the BJP have been attempting to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere in the state. What the SFI and CPM did in Thiruvananthapuram last night was a continuation of that effort. It has once again become evident that the CPM and the BJP are birds of a same feather.
The government will not permit any kind of violent activities. Strong action will be taken against anyone attempting to create an atmosphere of unrest in the state. Whoever attempts to disrupt the peaceful lives of the people will face stringent legal action, he said.
