THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: VV Rajesh, mayor of Thiruvananthapuram corporation, responded to the no-confidence motion initiated by Congress against the corporation's governing body. VV Rajesh clarified that the no-confidence motion is a legally recognised matter and will be welcomed democratically.

'We have won 50 seats out of 101. When we came to power, we expected a no-confidence motion once in six months. That is, the governing body came to power expecting to face ten no-confidence motions in five years. Therefore, such situations are legally permitted in a democracy. We democratically welcome any such matter. The corporation governing body is ready for any kind of discussion,' VV Rajesh clarified.
