THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 52-year-old man collapsed and died while waiting in a queue to see a doctor at Neyyattinkara District General Hospital on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Rajesh Kumar, a native of Koottappana in Neyyattinkara.

His relatives and locals alleged that Rajesh had complained of severe chest pain but was not allowed to see the doctor immediately. They claimed that despite informing hospital staff about the seriousness of his condition, he was made to remain in the queue. Following the incident, locals and public activists staged a protest at the hospital, alleging negligence. Tension continues at the hospital as protests are ongoing.
