One killed after KSRTC bus crashes into shop in Thrissur

THRISSUR: One person was killed after KSRTC’ low floor bus crashed into a shop. The dead has been identified as P Joseph (49) of Palluruthy in Ernakulam and the driver of the bus. Eight people sustained injuries in the accident. The incident happened last night at Athikkavu in Thrissur.

The bus was heading towards Ernakulam from Thrissur. The bus crashed into the shop when the driver swerved the vehicle to give side to another vehicle. The front portion of the bus and the shop have been completely damaged. The driver of the bus was taken out after cutting open the bus. The condition of other passengers is satisfactory.
