KOCHI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is questioning the daughter of CMRL Managing Director Sasidharan Kartha in connection with the monthly pay-off case. Shibi S Kartha, who is also one of the company’s directors, is being questioned by the agency. The ED is seeking details of the alleged illegal financial transactions between Exalogic and CMRL. Sasidharan Kartha’s son and company director Sharan S. Kartha was also expected to appear before the ED for questioning today, but he did not turn up.

Sasidharan Kartha has delayed appearing for questioning, citing health issues. Meanwhile, the questioning of Veena T, daughter of Opposition Leader Pinarayi Vijayan and managing director of Exalogic, has been scheduled for Wednesday. The agency issued a fresh summons to Veena after rejecting her request to submit the required documents through her lawyer. The ED granted her an additional five days to appear for questioning based on an email submitted by her, along with medical examination reports.
