Biker dies after iron pipes falls from moving lorry and pierces body

THRISSUR: A biker died after iron pipes fell from a moving lorry in front of the Highlight Mall in Kuttanellur and pierced his body. The pipes fell out when the lorry suddenly applied the brakes, causing them to hit the youth on the bike behind.

The injured youth was rushed to a hospital by local residents and other commuters who gathered at the spot. However, despite immediate medical attention, his life could not be saved.

The lorry was carrying iron rods and pipes and was travelling along the road when it suddenly braked in front of the mall. The iron pipes slid forcefully towards the rear of the vehicle and fell onto the road. At this time, the youth was behind the lorry, and one of the pipes pierced his body.

The accident caused a major traffic disruption on the road for some time. Police arrived, collected information about the incident, and initiated further proceedings.
