Another blow to cooking gas prices; LPG cylinder becomes costlier by Rs 9.50

NEW DELHI: The prices of cooking gas have been increased again in the country. The price of a commercial LPG cylinder has been raised by Rs 9.50. With this hike, the price of a 19-kg cylinder rose to Rs 2,763.50. The new price is Rs 2,763.50 in Kochi and Rs 2,747.50 in Delhi. There has been no change in the price of domestic LPG cylinders.

The prices of 19-kg commercial cylinders were reduced by more than Rs 200 in Delhi and Kolkata last month. The price was reduced by Rs 202 in Delhi and Rs 209 in Kolkata. Restaurants, hotels and other commercial establishments had received some relief following the price reduction, but prices have now been increased again.

The price of the cylinder last month was Rs 2,728 in Delhi and Rs 2,872.50 in Kolkata. However, there was no change in the price of 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinders used by households. The price of commercial cylinders had also been reduced in July.
