CCTV footage of the girl collapsing in class

NEW DELHI: In a tragic incident, a nine-year-old girl died after collapsing inside her classroom following a suspected cardiac arrest. The incident took place at Lovely Heritage School in Mayur Vihar Phase II, New Delhi, on Thursday. The girl collapsed shortly after returning to the classroom following the games period. CCTV footage of the incident has also surfaced.

The footage shows the girl entering the classroom in a weak condition, with her hands resting on her waist. She then suddenly collapses to the floor. A teacher rushes to her aid and tries to lift her before making her sit on a chair. The teacher is also seen splashing water on the girl's face.

However, when the girl failed to regain consciousness, school staff rushed her to a nearby hospital. As the hospital reportedly refused to provide treatment, she was taken to another hospital in Nirman Vihar. However, she was declared dead by the time she reached there.

Preliminary information suggests that a cardiac arrest caused her death. Meanwhile, questions have been raised over the failure of the teachers and school staff to administer CPR after the girl collapsed. The girl's family has also raised allegations against the school authorities.
