
MUMBAI: Eight students from a group on an excursion drowned at Raigad Beach in Maharashtra. The victims are Plus One and Two students. Police confirmed that their bodies have been recovered.
The students belonged to 'Winners Academy,' a private coaching centre in Alandi, Pune district. Police stated that the group of 48—comprising 25 boys, 17 girls, and six teachers—arrived at the beach around 5:30 PM today. Eight students who ventured into the sea were caught in the waves. Although rescue operations were launched immediately, they could not be saved. Police informed that the bodies have been shifted to the mortuary for post-mortem examinations.
