Two arrested in Kalamassery gangrape case; one among the remaining accused is a woman, say police

KOCHI: A married woman was held captive for two days and gangraped in Kalamassery, with one of the two remaining accused is a woman. The woman came to the spa after seeing an advertisement on OLX for a manager’s job. She was given alcohol and drugs before being held captive for two days and sexually abused.

The Kalamassery police had arrested two accused in the case identified as Sreeraj (30) of Erikkavu, and Jith Martin (27) of Thevakkal. The incident happened on October 2nd 3rd, and two more accused are yet to be arrested. Police said one among the accused is a woman. It has also emerged that the accused were allegedly part of a gang operating a prostitution racket under the guise of running a spa.
