Medical college ICU abuse: Victim restarts her strike

icu-abuse

KOZHIKODE: The victim of the medical college ICU abuse case has again started a sit-in strike in front of the city police commissioner's office. The victim started the strike again after IG K Sethuraman's promise to provide a copy of the police investigation report within three days was not fulfilled. However, North Region IG K Sethuraman said that there are technical hurdles in providing the information on the case which is under trial and legal advice should be sought in this regard.

The victim, who started the protest in the morning, met the IG in the afternoon. He informed the victim that he had sought legal advice to get the report. He also assured that he would seek a report from the commissioner on the police stopping the victim when she went to look for the file number of the complaint during the strike.

At the same time, the victim alleged that the IG was misled by the medical college ACP and other officials and stated that the strike will continue. The victim was molested on March 18, 2023, while undergoing treatment at the Medical College Hospital.
