THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A viper was spotted at Vithura Taluk Hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. Casualty staff at the hospital noticed the snake this morning. They immediately informed the Rapid Response Team (RRT) at Paruthipally. Soon after, RRT member Roshni reached the hospital and safely caught the baby viper.

The snake was found inside a small hole under the steps in the casualty department. Hospital staff had earlier blocked the hole with cotton. The RRT team removed the cotton and took the baby viper out. Officials said there is a possibility that more baby snakes may be present in the area, and inspection is continuing.
