ALAPPUZHA: CPM workers disrupted G Sudhakaran MLA’s speech in Alappuzha. The incident happened while he was inaugurating a programme organised by Paadashekara Panel at Thottappally in Ambalappuzha. The workers got agitated after Sudhakaran criticised the CPM during his speech.

They questioned why party leaders were being insulted at a public event. Following the protest, Sudhakaran left the venue without completing his speech. The CPM had earlier warned that they would respond strongly if Sudhakaran continued to criticise the party at programmes he attended as an MLA. However, the MLA ignored that warning and continued criticising the party and this irritated them.

Sudhakaran had stirred controversy by saying that CPM leaders should attend an old age school and learn how to behave respectfully towards the public. His comments drew sharp criticism from the party and the CPM district secretary warned that there was a limit to how much could be tolerated.
