'Ready to resign only if....'; Shwetha Menon responds amid infighting in AMMA

KOCHI: Amidst the internal strife within the star organisation 'AMMA', President Shwetha Menon announced that she is ready to resign. Shwetha clarified that she will resign if any of the senior members requests her. However, it is noteworthy that no senior star has made a public response to the incident so far.

Shwetha blamed some within the executive committee for targeting her and said that all matters are being managed by the general secretary and treasurer.

“Ansiba's issue was personal. The organisation has nothing to do with it. Will clarify everything in the general body meeting,” said Shwetha.

The problems in AMMA came to light after Ansiba Hassan resigned from the post of joint secretary. Following Ansiba, Neena Kurup had also levelled allegations against Tini Tom, a member of the AMMA governing body. Ansiba revealed that Tini Tom called her a jihadi and ran a campaign to slander her. Neena had filed a complaint with the office bearers alleging that Tini Tom had used obscene language and threatened her during a family gathering.
