
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that there is a possibility of rain in the state over the next five days. Yellow alerts have been issued in several districts. Today, yellow alerts are in place for the districts of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Malappuram, and Kasaragod. The forecast warns of isolated heavy rainfall. Heavy rainfall refers to rainfall between 64.5 mm and 115.5 mm within 24 hours.
The IMD has also warned that isolated places in the state may receive rain accompanied by thunderstorms from today until the 28th. Strong winds with speeds of 40 to 50 kmph are also likely during this period. Thunderstorms with rain are also expected on May 29 and 30, according to the weather department.
