KOCHI: Women named as the second and fifth accused in the Kochi sex racket case have told the media that the case stems from the complainant woman's personal animosity towards them. The women, who are currently in the UAE, said that all the allegations mentioned in the complaint are completely false and that no such incident ever took place.

According to them, the issue began about a month after the complainant arrived in Dubai. They claimed the complainant started engaging in “bad activities,” which they questioned.

“The woman started engaging in some bad activities about a month after arriving in Dubai. That is when we reacted against it. We questioned why we were being made to do such things and told her that it could affect us as well. We also found some evidence related to this and shared it with the person named Sindhu. Meanwhile, after we checked the complainant’s phone, she smashed the phone there itself and tried to destroy the evidence.

If a complaint has really been filed with Dubai Police, then checking the CCTV footage there, as well as examining their phones and passports, will reveal the truth. We were with this girl when she arrived in Dubai. We came to know Bilal, who has also been named as an accused in the case, through a friend. The truth should come out. We are determined to find and present the evidence needed to prove the truth. So far, they have only made verbal allegations and have not produced any evidence. But we have clear documents to prove that the allegations are false,” the women added.

The case first came to light after allegations surfaced that girls were taken to Dubai under the guise of modelling jobs, drugged, locked inside rooms for nearly a month, and subjected to gang rape. Police have registered a case under serious charges, including gang rape. The investigation team said the accused are currently in Dubai and efforts are being made to bring them back to India.

However, the accused claim that the complaint was filed because of financial disputes that happened in Dubai. They continue to deny all allegations, saying that the complainant was never harmed without consent and that the rape accusations are fabricated.
