PSC exam irregularities: SIT formed under IG Ajeetha Begum, probe to begin

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state police chief issued an order to form a special investigation team to investigate the Public Service Commission examination irregularities. The SIT will be led by IG Ajeetha Begum. SP Zakaria Mathew and DYSP Ajaynath are the other members of the investigation team. The investigation will be under the direct supervision of the Crime Branch ADGP. The order also directed that a progress report of the investigation be submitted every two weeks.

The PSC Internal Vigilance investigation into the examination irregularities is also underway. The PSC Internal Vigilance SP is investigating the irregularities in the Planning Board examination. Along with this, the Crime Branch is also preparing to start the investigation as per the cabinet decision. The Home Department had issued an order assigning the Crime Branch to the investigation. The Crime Branch will investigate the recent allegations related to the conduct of the PSC examination.
