
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister V D Satheesan in his budget speech said that a special cell will be formed to attract investors in a manner that will benefit the development of the state. The new project, called 'Invest Keralam', is for the economic growth and comprehensive development of Kerala based on data.
The chief minister said expediting the completion of the project will increase the confidence of investors and create employment opportunities in the state. An investment advisory council will be formed with the chief minister as the chairman and industries minister as the vice-chairman to assess the progress of the project and provide guidelines. The chief minister also said that experts in the relevant fields will also be included in this council.
'The Investment Keralam Cell, a single-window system, is to ensure that investors have the necessary land, legal permissions and post-investment support at every stage. Timely steps will be taken to resolve the obstacles faced in land acquisition. A project implementation protocol will be implemented to guide this. This project will make a great contribution to industrial diversification, technology transfer and sustainable economic growth,' said V D Satheesan in his budget speech.
