Abin Varkey MLA hospitalized after car meets with accident in Omallur

PATHANAMTHITTA: Aranmula MLA Abin Varkey sustained injuries in an accident after his car met with an accident Tuesday night at Shutter Mukku in Pathanamthitta’s Omallur. The people who were with him in the car also suffered injuries. The MLA is presently under observation in the hospital. No one sustained serious injuries.

The MLA met with the accident while he was returning home in Elanthur after engaging in flood relief activities. Eyewitnesses said that another vehicle rammed into the MLA’s car. The car of Saji Kumar of Konni rammed into the MLA's vehicle. Saji Kumar, who was injured in the accident, has been admitted to a private hospital in Chengannur. The police have registered a case against him.
