YouTuber Muhammad Niyas Jauhari’s mobile phone sent for scientific examination; suspected of exploiting more girls

KOLLAM: The police suspect that YouTuber and religious scholar Muhammad Niyas Jauhari, who sexually abused a 16-year-old girl, has exploited more girls. The police have decided to conduct a detailed investigation into it. His mobile phone will be subjected to a scientific examination. He is presently remanded.

The Karunagapally police yesterday nabbed Niyas, director of the firm Al Habeebiyya Islamic Academy, in the case of sexually abusing the 16-year-old girl. It has also been found that major financial transactions took place centering around this firm.

The police have launched a detailed investigation focusing on the firm. According to the girl's statement, she was sexually assaulted after being made to believe that her paternal grandmother was possessed by an evil spirit and that it needed to be exorcised. The accused summoned both the girl and her grandmother to the Al Habeebiyya Islamic Academy.

The complaint says that she was sexually assaulted at that location, at the house he rented, and later at various other places. According to the girl's statement, she was subjected to the assault under threats and intimidation. The girl had shared the incidents, which happened in October and November 2025, with her friends.
