Snake enters hostel; bites four sleeping girls, one dies

RANCHI: A snake entered a hostel in Jharkhand’s Lohardaga and bit four girls, who were sleeping. One girl identified as Varsha Oraon has died. The others identified as Manisha Kumari (14), Fulmania Oraon (11) and Anisa Kumari (11) are undergoing treatment.

The tragic incident happened in the hostel of Samsira Higher Secondary Residential School. The snake bit the girls, who were sleeping in their hostel room. A teacher immediately rushed the girls to the hospital, but the life of one could not be saved. The family of the girls have reached the hospital on being informed about the incident. A big protest is being staged here. The police have informed that a comprehensive probe will be conducted.
