SIM and old question paper in underwear, nine arrested for impersonation during NEET re-exam

PATNA: Nine people were arrested for impersonation during the NEET re-examination conducted on Sunday. The incident happened at Lakhisarai in Bihar. A fourth-year MBBS student of Gaya Anugrah Narayan Magath Medical College, who had written the exam for another student at the exam center in Lakhisarai, has also been arrested. It is reported that his name had previously come up as an accused in the NEET question paper leak.


The officials who were assigned to the spot for biometric verification became suspicious while checking his documents. On detailed examination, it was found that this was not the real student and that he was Arpit Singh, a fourth-year MBBS student who had come in as a substitute. He was immediately taken into custody and is being questioned.


A total of nine has been arrested in Bihar in similar cases. A total of 12 people has been taken into custody. Meanwhile, an arrest was made in UP in the case of cheating during NEET exam.
