Rishabh Singh faces backlash for launching Rs 199 Instagram subscription

NEW DELHI: Major Rishabh Singh Sambyal, former Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to President Droupadi Murmu, had recently announced his retirement. He retired from service after serving in the army for around 12 years. Speaking on a podcast with Raj Shamani, Rishabh said that he had responsibilities as a son that he needed to fulfil, and that this was the reason behind his decision to retire. Even while serving as the President’s ADC, photographs and videos of Rishabh frequently went viral on social media. He has a large number of followers.

Rishabh has now launched an Instagram subscription service. Users can subscribe to Rishabh Singh Sambyal’s page for Rs 199 per month. Around 1,000 people have subscribed so far. However, the move has sparked considerable discussion on social media.

Rishabh, who served for 12 years in the Jat Regiment and 4 Para Special Forces, introduced the Rs 199 subscription on his Instagram page, which led to the controversy. Some have alleged that a former military officer charging people for access to his content is a disgrace to the army. Others argue that after retirement, he is completely free to explore new professional opportunities and sources of income.
