NEW DELHI: Reports say the Narendra Modi Government is likely to rule out the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The centre will inform the CJP in the discussions to be held Saturday afternoon that other demands will be considered. It is assessed that removing Pradhan will lead to more protests. The CJP had earlier informed that they would hold a nationwide protest if their resignation demand is not accepted. The party had also warned that if their demand is not met, they would start the Parliament march again in 24 hours.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's response on the issue is that the students’ questions should be answered. He directed that consensus and talks are needed. Meantime, security has been tightened again at Jantar Mantar following the CJP protests. More barricades have been put up at the place. It is reported that 18 metro stations will be closed today.
