Mom seen kicking child for refusing to enter Anganwadi, police register case after pics circulate

MUMBAI: A woman is seen kicking her two-year-old daughter, who refused to enter the Anganwadi in Maharashtra. The police registered a case after the clippings of the incident circulated on social media. The incident happened at the Anganwadi in Nandgaon village in Panvel. The video shows the child falling onto the steps when her mother kicked her in her chest.

An Anganwadi employee is seen lifting her when she fell. The video shows another girl nearby watching the whole incident. A video captured by a passerby on his mobile phone has been found circulating on social media.

There is a lot of anger against the cruelty shown to the child. The Navi Mumbai police have registered a case and an investigation has started. The woman told police that she kicked her in a fit of rage as she refused to enter the Anganwadi. The police have handed over the report to the Child Welfare Committee (CWC). The police have directed to take appropriate legal action against the woman.
