Flights from UAE cancelled following attack on Saudi airport

RIYADH: Several flights to and from Abha International Airport in Saudi Arabia were cancelled after Yemen's Houthi rebels launched a missile and drone attack on the airport. Flights from Dubai and Sharjah to Abha were among those cancelled due to the security situation in the region.

Around 10 flights to and from Abha were cancelled on Tuesday following the overnight attack. Airlines suspended services as a precaution after the security threat.

flydubai announced that its flights scheduled to depart from Dubai International Airport Terminal 2 to Abha at 10:25 am and 4:05 pm had been cancelled.

Return flights from Abha to Dubai and Sharjah were also cancelled. An Air Arabia flight from Abha to Sharjah was among the affected services.
