In a new buildup in an ever-worsening riff between former partners, singer Amrutha Suresh came up against her former husband Bala, accusing the latter of continuously demeaning her in the social media domain after divorce. In an Instagram post, Amrutha shared a video along with her lawyer Adv. Rajini and Adv.Sudheer, pointing out the smear campaign done against her in social media space, engineered by actor Bala.

“Even after signing the agreement for a mutually assisted divorce, Bala violated the norms many times. As per law, the girl child should stay with her mother until she reaches 18 years of age. Bala has the right to visit her daughter every Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm at the court premises. Apart from this, Bala is not allowed to take his daughter on any special days or festivals.” The lawyers mention this in the video.

“On the second Monday after the divorce, Amrutha followed the norms and came up with her daughter on court premises, but Bala didn’t turn up. According to the rules, Bala should have informed Amrutha or the court through email about his absence, but such rules were not followed by the actor. According to Amrutha, Bala is skewing the narrative in such a way as to make it look like Amrutha deliberately disallowed the actor to see his daughter.

According to the compromise petition, 25 lakh rupees have been given to Amrutha. Also, there is an insurance policy of Rs 15 lakh in the name of daughter Avantika. The petition does not claim to pay child-rearing, education or marriage expenses. Amrutha’s lawyers have warned about strong legal action if the agreement is breached further.
