NEW DELHI: The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has introduced a new initiative to strengthen action against food adulteration, misleading labels, poor hygiene, and other food safety violations. Under the new system, consumers can report such violations through the FSSAI's mobile application.
As part of efforts to improve food safety, FSSAI has urged consumers to share their experiences and report unsafe or substandard food products. Using the Food Safety Connect app, consumers can quickly file complaints about food safety issues.
The app allows users to report violations such as food adulteration, the sale of expired products, poor hygiene in restaurants, and other food safety concerns. To support their complaints, users can also upload photographs and share the exact location of the incident, making it easier for authorities to investigate and take action.
