Vadakara MDMA case accused stabbed five times by partner near police station

KOZHIKODE: Keerthana, a school teacher and accused in the Vadakara MDMA case, was stabbed by her partner in Kozhikode. Keerthana's partner Vineesh was arrested by police.

The attack took place in front of the Vadakara police station around 10 am this morning when she came to sign the bail conditions before the police. Vineesh, who was standing near the station, ran towards Keerthana and stabbed her. Vineesh was immediately taken into police custody. The injured Keerthana was rushed to the Vadakara Taluk Hospital. She has now been moved to the medical college.

It is reported that Keerthana was stabbed more than five times, including in the neck. It is not clear if the injury is serious. It is reported that Keerthana was staying separately from Vineesh, and it was during this time that she was arrested in the MDMA case.

Keerthana was a specialist teacher at the Perambra BRC on a contract basis. She acted as a link between sellers and buyers of MDMA. Following the arrest, Keerthana was dismissed from the school. After the arrest, Keerthana told the media that she was innocent; however, the police state that the arrest was made based on clear evidence.

Kavya and Neeshma, teachers at the Perambra BRC, were also arrested in connection with an MDMA case. Kavya was granted bail a few days ago.
